IGLOO EXPEDITION

Weekend program:

Beginning 15h on Saturday
- 1h snowshoe trek
- 2 hours to build your igloo
- Evening: Fondue
- Night under igloo
- Breakfast: coffee, buns
- 2 hours of snowshoes hiking
- Ends 11am on Sunday

This activity is offered in January, February and March.

Get out of the city and live the unique experience of a real night in an igloo. The Inuit dwelling awaits you for this polar expedition just a stone's throw from Aix les Bains. Prepare your backpacks as the expedition is extremely demanding. During this night under igloo, you will be captivated by the beauty of the landscapes and the calm of a complete immersion in a snow-covered natural environment. With family, friends, for an EVG, EVJF or as a couple, this night under igloo expedition will remain engraved in your memories.

Starting from the Bauges massif, the most sporty among you will have the pleasure of putting on snowshoes to make an igloo camp. After a briefing at the start, checking the bags and distributing the equipment necessary for the night under igloo, your guide will show you the mountain. After an hour of snowshoeing on a descending profile trail, you store your bags to make room for the igloo construction. Several basic techniques allow you to spend a night in an igloo. Everything depends on the quality of the snow. Survival being the watchword of this overnight igloo expedition, you take care to put all your heart into the work.

With the igloo construction completed, you have earned a Savoyard aperitif and a fondue from the bag at 1500 metres altitude. Enough to enjoy your night under the igloo. The next day, taken out of your sleeping bag, you will enjoy your breakfast alone in the middle of nature before returning to the cars quietly.
